Die Energiewende und Europa

Europäisierungsprozesse in der deutschen Energie- und Klimapolitik

Author(s): Severin Fischer
Publisher(s): Springer
Publication Year: 2016
Publication Place: Berlin

In this book, Severin Fischer analyzes the interactions and interrelationships between the energy and climate policies of Germany and Europe in the years 2007 to 2015. The focus is on Europeanization processes in higher-level strategy development and in three policy fields: the power market and infrastructure development; renewable energy policy; and climate protection. By applying process analysis, Severin Fischer explains both the emergence of the European framework for the German “Energiewende” – the project of transforming the national energy system – and the influence of Germany on decisions concerning the EU’s energy and climate policy.
