This paper analyzes the costs and consequences of corruption, industrial espionage and economic crime. The author addresses the interplay of external and internal forces in the corporate world that could be prone to the aforementioned offences. He concludes that the main threat to corporate security in such instances are not external actors but employees and insiders. Eventually the author provides a brief description of measures that can be taken to improve a company's security.
