The paper explores the phenomenon of labor unrest in China as it appeared, blossomed and affected stakeholders by firstly unsettling them, before differences in their perception and approaches were ironed out. The paper goes on to examine the catalysts of this change, and the shape of things to come. The events and their consequences, contributing to the blow out, be it a string of suicides among young workers while in the factory premises or other such violent forms of protests, have since attracted numerous attempts of explanation.
