As tensions between the US and the USSR increased during the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962, US President John F Kennedy wrote a letter to Soviet Chairman Nikita Khrushchev. In this letter, Kennedy urges Khrushchev to refrain from deploying nuclear weapons on Cuba and threatens to take military action.
