This journal issue asks how to reenable air force command and control for twenty-first-century partnerships. It also addresses the development of the OA-X, a notional light attack aircraft, and reviews three case studies that demonstrate the variety of ways women have participated in modern armed conflict. It includes proposals for encouraging the military and society to move forward with regard to debate over the role of women in combat.
