This swisspeace working paper features a FAST risk profile of Madagascar. The paper provides an overview of domestic developments, government policies, and conflict resolution activities in Madagascar. In particular, the author analyses the post-electoral dispute of 2002 in Madagascar and highlights the roles of the various protagonists, as well as the efforts of the international community in mediating an official settlement.
