In this publication, the author explains the concept of the "middleman" and stresses its importance with regards to doing business in Asia, especially in China and India. The "middleman" refers to a person that contributes to promoting a fruitful relationship between two or more parties by providing necessary information, making useful arrangements and thus facilitating negotiations between those parties. In that vein, the author illustrates beneficial aspects of recruiting a "middleman" for foreigners doing business in Asia, as it helps addressing potential problems that may arise from cultural differences and understanding.
