This Issue Brief provides a broad overview of today's US cyber policies and programs and takes a relatively optimistic slant. This optimism is unfortunately rooted not in confidence that the projects and initiatives make Americans more secure, but rather that there is any fresh progress at all. This brief examines the current US policies and documents, starting with their background, along with ongoing projects, how this compares to other nations and what to expect next.
