This publication examines the ongoing conflict in Syria. Specifically, it analyzes the conflict dynamics between the Syrian regime and the opposition in the country, and examines how the interventionist policies of the US, Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia are impacting the crisis. The author argues that the pursuit of geopolitical interests by outside powers only exacerbates the conflict at the expense of the civilian population.
