In the context of the Arab Spring, the author argues that a new trilogy (3 Cs) capturing the evolving political reality of the Mediterranean region is in the making: the consolidation of democratic processes, collision between democratizing forces and remnants of the old regimes, and continuity of a pre-Arab Spring situation.
