This paper looks at the role of Hizballah and Iran in Africa. The African continent is characterized by a large number of failed states and/or effectively ungoverned regions. The author argues that Hizballah used this opportunity to create strategic depth for the organization in Africa. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps, allied with Hizballah, utilizes the strategic space in Africa to advance Iranian national objectives.
