This publication describes two pilot studies about the psychological/communicative aspects of investment international arbitration and its use in the global economy. The first study consisted of a questionnaire referring to core features of the arbitration process, while the second one featured interviews with international arbitrators. The authors conclude by describing future research designed to focus on international investment arbitration.
