This issue of the Perspectives on Terrorism includes two articles in the field of terrorism studies. The first article in this issue focuses on the initiatives taken by the Muslim community in Singapore in response to the Jemaah Islamiyah's (JI) plot in the country. Analyzing a 2007 video release by a senior member of al-Qaeda in which he offers the US tips for better prosecuting its 'war of ideas' against al-Qaeda, the second article offers strategic counter-terrorism recommendations based on the video.
