This issue of the Perspectives on Terrorism deals with a number of topics in the field of terrorism studies. The first article explores three potential scenarios that may shape Turkey's future with regards to the Kurdish question. The second article focuses on the 'Algerian Scenario' as an important factor in the confrontation between regimes, Islamists, secular opposition, and the international community in the region. In addition, an opinion brief sheds light on notions about "moderate Islamists" among Western government spokespersons and policy "professionals."
