This issue of the Perspectives on Terrorism explores a variety issues pertaining to the field of terrorism studies. The first article offers insights into Russia's extensive counterterrorism legislation, exploring the influence of Russia's imperial tradition on the country's contemporary counter terrorism policy. The second paper offers an analysis of suicide violence. The third article is an opinion brief analyzing the shortcomings of the reforms instituted by the US government within the American Intelligence Community (IC), as a response to the 9/11 intelligence failure.
