This article looks at the socio-economic situation of the youth and political protests in Jordan after 2011. It discusses the economic and political situation for young Jordanians and the critical way in which they lead the anti-government movements. In concluding, the author argues that real progress is unlikely to be seen, as the situation of Egypt and Syria serve as powerful disincentives to revolutionary change.
