This commentary discusses the advancement of the transitional justice and displacement research agenda. The author explains that research and practice at the intersection of these fields is still in the early stages and that much remains to be done to deepen understanding of these issues and to translate the results of research into practice. The commentary follows the KOFF Dealing with the Past Roundtable on 'Forced migration and transitional justice: Advancing the research agenda' held in 2012.
