This document focuses on the reconciliation process being pursued in South Sudan and the various factors its external supporters need to consider. The text is basically divided into two parts -- a context section, which describes the origins and status of the current political-security crisis within the country, and a section that concentrates on the nature of reconciliation, how it is achieved, and its link to nation-building.
