This paper discusses the obstacles to investment on the African continent. The author points out that inadequate infrastructure, lack of market data for analyses, and poor policy implementation and execution by African governments impede Western investments in Africa. The author then provides policy recommendations to African countries, the US and international companies on how they can overcome these obstacles.
