This issue of “Perspectives on Terrorism” features articles on 1) the labeling and analyzing of contemporary terrorist actors as insurgent groups; 2) how mass media depicts responses to terrorism and affects public perceptions of counterterrorism; 3) the nature and effects of an online counterterrorism campaign and 4) right-wing terrorism in Germany. It also includes 1) a research note on the threat posed by Western foreign fighters in the past and what it means for the present; 2) three book reviews on works dealing with terrorism and counterterrorism; 3) extensive bibliographies on the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict and the issue of domestic state terrorism and 4) an opinion piece on a Islamic State's (IS) combat strategy.
