This paper examines the Kurdish peace process in Turkey between 2009 and 2015. After assessing three distinct phases of the process, it explains what prompted the Turkish state and the Kurdish Worker's Party to launch the peace process, and why both sides remain loyal to it despite serious problems and disagreements. It concludes with four possible scenarios for how the process may play out in view of Turkey's general elections in June 2015.
