This paper highlights the political alliances that were formed after the legislative and presidential elections in Tunisia in 2014, and how these alliances consolidated the electorate's political choices and became a supporting force preventing social and political crisis in the country. The author then discusses how, despite this, problems with unemployment and the country's economy, the threat of terrorism, and the temptation among those in power to act in an authoritarian manner could contribute to short to political instability in the country in the short to medium term.
