This report looks at the different changes Iran’s energy policy has undergone, particularly because of the accelerated economic and energy sanctions the country experienced in 2012 and the July 2015 nuclear deal it struck with the P5+1 nations. The report’s author particularly examines the policy-related adjustments Iran has made to its crude oil and natural gas production, oil and gas exports, refinery and petrochemical sectors; and its attempts to attract foreign investments in its energy sector.
