This paper first examines Turkey's attempts to exert control over energy supplies and key transportation corridors in the Eastern Mediterranean. The author then discusses whether this policy is likely to clash with Chinese President Xi Jinping's newly revived One Belt, One Road (OBOR) initiative and its aim of providing a trade conduit between China and Europe.
