This paper argues that opting for Kurdish safe zones in Syria would protect more civilians and refugees from attack than Turkish-sponsored buffer zones. The text's author also explains why the Turkey/Syrian border needs to be sealed off as soon as possible, and contemplates the possible impact of Turkey/Saudi policies towards Syria on Asian security.
