This paper makes recommendations for the US government regarding how best to achieve peace in Korea. It calls on the US to take a leadership role in creating a comprehensive peace settlement for the Korean peninsula that goes beyond mere denuclearization talks. The authors outline the major aspects of the comprehensive settlement they believe the US should pursue vis-à-vis North Korea and conclude by proposing a set of concrete policy steps.
