This report analyzes the proceedings of the first cooperative energy security dialogue, jointly organized by the Atlantic Council and the China Institute of Contemporary International Relations. The discussions at the Beijing conference explored areas of potential cooperation between the US and China on matters of energy security, trade, climate change and the environment. The paper concludes by outlining concrete policy steps proposed by the US and Chinese sides, respectively.
