This article discusses China's industrial development and growth. The author argues that China’s manufacturing achieved remarkable gains and that these advances are noteworthy for the strong momentum that overwhelmed obstacles such as intrusive regulation, extensive corruption and weak systems of law, management, finance and corporate governance.
