This paper advocates the transnational modernization of basic infrastructures, primarily to increase global productivity and output. One option is for the G20 to ‘set the course’ for National Infrastructure Investment Programs (NIIP), which could then be incorporated into a G7-driven Internationally Coordinated Infrastructure Investment Program (iCIIP).
