This paper looks at the state of Turkey-Africa relations and argues that Ankara’s foreign and development policy towards the continent has changed at the ideational, societal and institutional levels. Indeed, what was once a policy with a modest humanitarian dimension to it has over the last 10 years spilled over into the economic, socio-political and security spheres. The paper closes by discussing the implications of Turkey-Africa relations for the EU, the US and other actors at the international level.
