This paper analyzes the changes to Turkey’s foreign policy since the resignation of Prime Minster Davutoglu in May 2016 and the attempted coup d’état that followed in July. Basically, Ankara has adopted a more pragmatic and ad-hoc approach where the AKP’s interests and concerns are at the top of the agenda. As a result, being a member of NATO and the EU remains important for Turkey, but so does normalizing relations with Russia and Israel.
