In this interview, Peter Roell, President of the ISPSW, discusses new developments on the Korean Peninsula regarding a range of international political, economic and military issues. In the text, Roell outlines his skepticism regarding the possibility of complete denuclearization on the Peninsula. He also contends 1) that, for the time being, the EU should maintain its policy of critical engagement towards North Korea; and 2) that for its part, Germany is prepared to support the South Korean government by way of technical assistance and expertise, if and when necessary.
