This report reviews the UK’s arms industry and the protection, subsidies and general support it receives from the British government. The support isn’t motivated by a desire to save money, by the way. Instead, it’s geared towards maintaining a viable domestic arms industry, even though it’s more expensive to operate than procuring items through international competition.
