Publication

2009

This publication discusses what Barack Obama's victory means for Europeans. The author argues that a radical change in US foreign policy toward its European allies is unlikely. The author also suggests that Obama is likely to follow the multilateral course pursued by President George W Bush in his second term of office and before him by President Bill Clinton, and to seek to intensify trans-Atlantic relations further.
