This study looks at European defense spending, with a view to ascertaining how much is devoted to investment and procurement across 31 European countries in 2016. It then analyzes relevant developments in defense cooperation across Europe at bilateral, regional and mini-lateral levels, occurred between October 2015 and March 2016. Finally, it outlines current trends in European defense spending and cooperation, with a view to underlining opportunities for defense collaboration in Europe.
