This paper focuses on 1) Turkey’s perceptions of youth organizations; 2) how the perceptions impact policy-making and Turkish society; and 3) the overall concepts of “youth” and “youth participation and exclusion.” In exploring these themes, the text also reviews the history of youth organizations in Turkey and their present challenges, which include framing and combating the socio-political problem of youth exclusion.
