This CEJISS issue features six articles on security issues that affect greater Europe. They include 1) the strategies used by organized criminals to infiltrate public procurement processes; 2) the media representation of female suicide bombers from Dagestan and Chechnya; 3) how Slovakia’s perceptions of security threats have evolved since the country’s independence; 4) the overall state of European security and how it’s being affected by key trends; 5) the role of Gazprom in Russia’s foreign policy strategy; and 6) the Czech and Slovak Republics’ EU-driven commitments to economic sanctions. The issue also includes an editorial piece on Iran as well as four book reviews.
