This paper focuses on the failure of Park Geun-hye’s Trustpolitik to establish better relations between North and South Korea. The text’s authors ultimately argue that Seoul wasn’t proactive enough to truly build trust – i.e., its wait-and-see politics did more harm than good and should be replaced by a more proactive approach.
