This publication focuses on the rising importance of electronic warfare (EW) in a disrupted world as well as the growing global electronic market. The author offers several examples of electronic warfare in action and takes a closer look at contemporary cyber espionage in Germany. The text concludes with a brief analysis of the German defense industry and the government’s plans to increase national defense spending from 2017-2022.
