This publication contends that with the consolidation of a new “Middle Eastern Entente” between Iran, Turkey and Qatar consolidated, Tehran is leading this bloc in escalating a drive to reshape the Middle East. The text’s author also contends 1) that unless Russia and China succeed in restraining and containing the new bloc - especially Iran - an eruption of violence is all but inevitable; 2) any such conflagration with regional ramifications will escalate into a war with Israel, as Israel will surely resist a collapse of the regional order; and 3) Iran is aware of this, but seems increasingly willing to face the risk.
