This issue provides background analyses of trade-related issues in Central Asia and China. It features an article examining the lack of business relations between Central Asia and China and another one providing insights about organized crime and the structural failures that tolerate it. Furthermore, it also examines the potential and the challenges of reopening the traditional Silk Route in trade with India. Beyond trade questions, the issue features pieces on increasing militarization of the Caspian Sea and Russia's confrontations with jihadists.
