This issue of the Central Asia-Caucasus Analyst opens with a feature article on the resurgence of the Taliban in Afghanistan. Next, it presents three analytical articles on the prospects for EU peacekeeping in Georgia, Iranian interests in Turkmenistan and Chinese counterterrorism activities in Xinjiang. It also includes four field reports on polygamy in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan-Russia defense ties, Georgia’s NATO ambitions and the EU, and graft in Kyrgyzstan. The final pages furnish a news digest on the Central Asia-Caucasus region.
