This brief examines the state of national reconciliation in the Central African Republic as of January 2010. The authors argue that the president has failed to move political reconciliation forward and urges donor countries to suspend financial support to the regime if it does not move make improvements on this front. The brief includes recommendations for the government of the Central African Republic, as well as for international actors.
