This issue of the Russian Analytical Digest analyzes Russia’s involvement in regional organizations. First, Stephen Aris analyzes Russia’s approach to multilateral cooperation in the post-Soviet space, arguing that its focus has shifted from the CIS to the CSTO, EurAsEC and SCO. Second, Derek Averre studies the improvement of relations between and the EU/NATO, examining ways in which the West might engage Russia, which is seeking a greater say in European and global affairs. Finally, Vyacheslav Amirov and Evgeny Kanaev analyze Russia’s policy toward Southeast Asia and ASEAN.
