This report provides an analysis of national reports submitted by UN member states to the Secretary-General on the occasion of the Fourth Biennial Meeting of States (BMS4) convened in New York from 14 to 18 June 2010. This meeting focused on the implementation of the International Tracing Instrument to Enable States to Identify and Trace, in a Timely and Reliable Manner, Illicit Small Arms and Light Weapons (ITI)—is identified in operative paragraph 7 of General Assembly Resolution 64/50. This final version of the report provides a comprehensive analysis of information provided by states on the themes selected for consideration at that meeting, based on a review of all national reports submitted in 2009 and 2010, including those submitted after the publication of the interim report and includes an additional 41 reports that the UN Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) received between May and December 2010.
