In 2009 Congressional testimony to the Senate Armed Services Committee (February 2009), HASC Subcommittee on National Security and Foreign Affairs (March 2009), and full House Armed Services Committee (April 2009) the author had the opportunity to outline his assessment of the situation in Afghanistan and Pakistan and offer some prescriptions. This written submission updates that report and looks at the road ahead.
