Science diplomacy is an international policy instrument well suited to addressing the central challenges of the globalization age. Science diplomacy can play a critical role in addressing the complex transnational issues which feed underdevelopment and insecurity. For many policy- and decision-makers, however, it remains a mystery. That disconnect is becoming increasingly costly.
