This report focuses on how the partnership between the EU and African Union (AU) has been working in Darfur and what should be done to make it more effective. The authors call on the EU to find the political will and the financial means to support an expanded AU Mission in Sudan (AMIS), and they call on the AU to consider seriously other organizational options, including a NATO bridging force or a "double-hatted" UN Mission in Sudan (UNMIS) operation, for delivering the military support necessary to achieve sustainable peace in Darfur.
