This report argues that although the financial system partially recovered in 2010, there has been no recovery from a media-reputational standpoint. The industry is still ranked worse than the tobacco industry. The lack of clear communication by individual banks has damaged the brand of the whole industry. This report suggests ways that the industry can work with the media to regain trust.
