This issue of the Central Asia-Caucasus Analyst includes analytical articles and field reports on security issues facing the Central Asia-Caucasus region in June 2011. The analytical articles examine the decision of Kyrgyzstan's parliament to curb press and civic freedoms; the uncertainty over Uzbekistan's role in Afghanistan; the stasis in the enlargement of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO); and the threat posed by Islamic militant group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). In addition, some shorter field reports provide accounts of regional cooperation between China and Kazakhstan; the suspension of the Rogun Dam Resettlement Program in Tajikstan; Georgia's threat to leave Western-backed talks with Russia; and the visit of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to Uzbekistan.
